
Today, I had the chance to visit Sungai Golok Thailand around noon. I wasn’t sure where to eat, but then I remembered visiting this restaurant with my friends two years ago. So, I decided to bring my family here.
The first thing I have to say is “the taste did not disappoint at all!” There are plenty of menu options to choose from, and when comparing the price with the food quality, it’s really worth it!

The first thing I really liked was how the owner greeted me so warmly as soon as I walked in. It felt super welcoming! 😍 As for the menu, there were so many options to choose from (but I couldn’t decide 😂), so I let the owner pick a recommended must-try dish for me! 😄

I had to wait a bit since I ordered 5 dishes (about 15-20 minutes), but when the food arrived, my first impression was, ‘They don’t hold back on the fish and rice at all! They give a really generous portion.’ I couldn’t help but wonder if I could finish it all! 😂

“Kaeng Som” – A bold, spicy, and tangy Southern Thai curry with a rich, aromatic broth. The first sip is refreshingly intense, with the perfect balance of tamarind’s sourness and the slight heat of the chili paste, making your mouth water. The crispy vegetables and tender fish chunks add to the irresistible taste—once you start, you can’t stop!

“Bai Liang Pad Kai” – Fresh, glossy Bai Liang leaves stir-fried with fluffy, fragrant eggs. Every bite brings out the natural sweetness of the Bai Liang, perfectly complemented by the soft texture of the eggs and a light smoky aroma from the wok. So delicious that you’ll keep reaching for more without even realizing it!

“Tod Mun Goong” – Crispy on the outside, soft and bouncy on the inside, these deep-fried shrimp cakes are packed with real shrimp flavor. The first bite gives you a crunchy, airy texture, followed by juicy, plump shrimp with a rich, slightly sweet taste. Dip them in the sweet and tangy plum sauce, and you’ll instantly want to order another plate!

“Betong Chicken” – Succulent, tender, and incredibly juicy chicken that practically melts in your mouth. The natural umami of the meat is perfectly enhanced when dipped in the special sweet, sour, and salty sauce. Every bite is a delight, leaving you wondering, “Why is this so incredibly delicious?”

“Pla Foi Thong” – Premium seabass fillet, fried to golden perfection with a crispy skin and tender, flaky inside. The first bite delivers a satisfying crunch, followed by the rich, natural taste of the fish. The highlight? A delicate, silky layer of Foi Thong (golden egg threads) made from rich egg yolks and real butter, creating a luxurious blend of sweet, buttery, and slightly salty flavors. The combination is simply unforgettable—one bite, and you’ll feel like you’ve discovered the taste you’ve been searching for all along!
